(alternative theatre, dir. Z. Jecelín, Divadlo Lampion, Kladno, 2023)
A sci-fi adaptaion of F. L. Baum classics, where Dorothy travels not to the Land of Oz but to the Planet of Oz. The audience wanders through the theatre together with the main characters.
For the music I used retro synth sounds from Commodore 64 on the top of acousting recordings of broken fan and other objects. Some songs are performed live using boomwhackers, which became part of the scenography too. We also used some props as sound objects, such as "heartbeat detector", casette player (= magical key to open the star gate) or a musicbox with the motif from the 30s Oz movie.
Music and songs for a children theatre play combining puppet theatre with live action.
Music is partly performed live by the actors and it's closely linked with the scenography: a teardrop is at the same time a giant barrel organ with integrated brasses, melodeon and mandolin. This was possible thanks to perfect cooperation with the scenographer Jitka Nejedlá and people from Malé Divadlo.
(physical theatre, dir. M. Gourdain, tYhle, Prague, 2016)
Music and interactive sound installation for dance theatre project Un, directed by French scenographer and choreographer Marie Gourdain. During performance I mix and tweak the music in dialogue with performer's movement. On top of that we have piezo sensors attached to stripes on the scene, which become musical instruments for the performer Florent Golfier.
Premiered on 7.1.2016 in Olomouc, CZ, the show was performed on festivals in Czechia, Poland and Germany.
(new circus performance, dir. E. Brtnická, Cirkus Mlejn, Praha, 2014)
Interactive music for a new-circus performance inspired by "iron" and other metal materials. Using piezo mics and DSP, I created several interactive sound objects which the performers used during the performance.
The main speaker was placed in a resonating metal barrel on the scene, adding natural acustic resonations and distortions to the sound.
